Alana M. Miller is a writer, artist, and Master of Library and Information Science.

Headshot of Alana.

Eternally curious, Alana revels in collecting, connecting, and creating oddball artwork and ideas about material culture, media, and foodways.

She has published writing in Broccoli Mag, The Billfold, and MoMA’s Inside/Out blog.

She is the co-creator of the food-art happening Astrolocheese and co-host of the podcast The Soak, an auditory exploration of bathing across time and space.

Her mission as an archivist and librarian is to facilitate innovative access to and engagement with cultural heritage. She has brought clarity to collection-chaos at institutions such as MoMA, Brooklyn Museum, California Digital Library, and California Revealed.

Alana resides in the San Francisco Bay Area. You can find her hoarding books, weaving, organizing film screenings, and making big meals to share.
